Can a doctor's repeated ultrasound predictions of the baby's gender be wrong when the baby is born?

I had two ultrasound scans in the sixth month, and both times the doctor confidently said that I am carrying a daughter. However, as my pregnancy progresses, my symptoms don't align with those typically associated with carrying a girl. For example, I am carrying low, have glowing skin, no morning sickness, dull yellow urine, and a linea nigra. Now that delivery is just over a week away, I'm feeling confused and hesitant to trust the doctor's advice. Is it possible for the doctor's repeated predictions of my baby's gender to be wrong when the baby is born?

I know all those old wives’ tales can mess with your head, but honestly they don’t mean much. In my pregnancies I carried one baby high and one low and it had nothing to do with their gender – it was more about how they were positioned and my body shape. Same with skin and morning sickness, every woman reacts differently. Ultrasound techs can occasionally get it wrong, especially very early on or if baby keeps their legs crossed, but by the sixth month most of the time they’re pretty spot‑on. A friend of mine was told girl twice and sure enough she had a little girl, despite having all the “boy” symptoms. Try to enjoy these last days and not overthink it – you’ll get to meet your little one soon and that’s when you’ll know for sure :)
