Hello, I am 15 weeks pregnant and experiencing itching in my vagina. I have been using Cansteen cream for 15 days but the issue persists. I also have occasional light green discharge. Can anyone provide expert advice to help me with this problem?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

Itching and discharge in the vagina during pregnancy can be quite common due to hormonal changes and increased blood flow. However, it is important to address these symptoms to ensure a healthy pregnancy. Firstly, consult your healthcare provider to rule out any infections or underlying conditions that may require specific treatment. In the meantime, there are some general measures you can take to alleviate discomfort. Avoid using scented products or harsh soaps in the genital area, as they can further irritate the skin. Opt for cotton underwear and avoid tight-fitting clothes that trap moisture. Keep the area clean by gently washing with warm water and mild soap, ensuring thorough drying afterward. Applying a fragrance-free moisturizer or petroleum jelly may help soothe itching. Additionally, try using a cold compress or ice pack wrapped in a cloth for temporary relief from itching sensations. Remember not to scratch as it can worsen irritation and potentially lead to infection. If your symptoms persist or worsen despite these measures, seek medical advice promptly for proper evaluation and appropriate treatment options tailored to your specific situation.

It could be a yeast infection but you need to inform your Dr so they can diagnose you correctly
