asked Jun 18, 2022 in Pregnancy Period General by anonymous
I am currently 38 weeks pregnant and I am experiencing a lot of pain when I try to turn. Additionally, I am unable to sleep on my right side due to the discomfort. Is this a normal occurrence during pregnancy?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

It is common for pregnant women to experience discomfort and pain during the later stages of pregnancy, especially when trying to change positions or lie on certain sides. As the baby grows, there is increased pressure on the organs and nerves in the abdomen, which can lead to discomfort. Sleeping on your left side is generally recommended as it improves blood flow and reduces pressure on major blood vessels. However, if you are unable to sleep comfortably on your right side or experience pain when turning, it is important to listen to your body and find a position that provides relief. You can try using pillows for support or experimenting with different sleeping positions until you find what works best for you. If the pain persists or becomes severe, it is always advisable to consult with your healthcare provider for further evaluation and guidance.

Apparently from what I've been researching DO NOT SLEEP ON RIGHT SIDE....as this is where your LIVER is and can cause DAMAGE.

Good Luck Sweetie & Congratulations
