I'm currently 8 weeks pregnant and experiencing continuous mild pain in my left lower abdomen. Is this normal for a first pregnancy?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

Experiencing mild pain in the lower abdomen during early pregnancy is relatively common and can be caused by various factors. While it is important to consult with your healthcare provider for an accurate diagnosis, there are a few potential reasons for this discomfort. One possibility is round ligament pain, which occurs as the ligaments supporting the uterus stretch and grow. Another cause could be gas or bloating, as hormonal changes during pregnancy can affect digestion. Additionally, constipation may contribute to abdominal discomfort. However, it's crucial to rule out any serious conditions such as an ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage, especially if you experience severe pain or bleeding along with the abdominal discomfort. It's always best to reach out to your healthcare provider who can evaluate your specific symptoms and provide appropriate guidance.

Im on my 4th pregnancy and never heard of that to be common.  I would call your doctor immediately or go to the ER.  Good luck

Pain in the lower abdomen is very common in this month. Even I am having such pains nowadays since I am also in 4th month. I came to know that the reason for the pain is, our body gets prepared for the normal child birth where sometimes we feel pain in the lower abdomen because of the hormones. these hormones dilates the vessels and make the pathway loose.

So there is no need to worry about the lower abdomen pain since its common unless if you get more severe pain frequently you have to visit your doctor.
