I don't have much pain, but I feel like something is pushing downwards. Additionally, I have pain in my vagina and severe back pain. Should I take steps to go to the hospital now?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

If you are experiencing pain in your vagina, lower abdomen, and severe back pain at 39 weeks and 6 days pregnant, it could be a sign of labor. It is important to listen to your body and seek medical advice if you are unsure. Contact your healthcare provider or go to the hospital for an evaluation. They will be able to assess your symptoms and determine if it is necessary for you to be admitted or if there are any concerns that need immediate attention. It's always better to err on the side of caution when it comes to pregnancy-related discomforts.

Hey, I remember being 39w6d and feeling like someone had stuck a bowling ball between my legs. The pressure and back pain were intense. My midwife said as long as I could still talk through the pain, just keep an eye on contractions; if they get stronger and regular or your waters go, head in. In my case the heavy pressure was just baby dropping lower I had a warm bath and tried to rest. If your gut tells you something's off though or you feel constant pain, I'd go get checked for peace of mind. Better to be sent home than worry. Hang in there, you're so close!
