I am currently 4 weeks pregnant and have tested positive for COVID-19. I am experiencing abdominal pain. Will this affect my baby's well-being?

It is understandable to be concerned about the potential impact of COVID-19 on your baby while being pregnant. While research is still ongoing, current evidence suggests that there may be a slight increased risk of preterm birth or other complications if a pregnant person contracts COVID-

  • However, it is important to note that most babies born to mothers with COVID-19 do not experience severe illness. To ensure the best possible outcome for you and your baby, it is crucial to seek medical advice promptly. Contact your healthcare provider who can guide you through appropriate testing, monitoring, and treatment options based on your specific situation. They will also provide guidance on managing any symptoms or discomfort you may be experiencing, such as abdominal pain. Remember to follow all recommended preventive measures like wearing masks, practicing good hand hygiene, and maintaining social distancing to reduce the risk of contracting or spreading the virus further.

    Hello mammas,

I just had a miscarriage in August and we were blessed to find out we were pregnant about a month after my D&C surgery. I've been super nervous because of everything. Currently I am 12 weeks pregnant and I work for a lung doctor who treats COVID patients., Well I tested positive. I was very tired lost my taste and smell, and my blood kept getting thicker. Because of this I had to give myself blood thinner shots. But aside from the COVID baby is doing great and I'm recovering well I'm sure it affects different pregnancies differently. But personal experience I got through it and so did my little bean ❤️
