asked Aug 26, 2020 in Baby Health During Pregnancy by Soujanya
Hi, I am currently in my 8th month of pregnancy and have recently entered the 9th month. However, I haven't felt any movements from my baby for the past 2 days. Is this a cause for concern? What could it indicate? Can you provide me with some suggestions?

It is important to pay attention to your baby's movements during pregnancy as they can indicate their well-being. While it is common for babies to have periods of reduced activity, a lack of movement for more than 24 hours may require further investigation. There are several reasons why you might not be feeling your baby move, including changes in their sleep patterns or position, but it is always best to consult your healthcare provider if you are concerned. They may recommend monitoring your baby's movements or performing additional tests such as an ultrasound to ensure everything is okay. In the meantime, try lying on your side or drinking something cold and sweet to encourage movement. Remember that every pregnancy is different, and if at any point you feel worried about your baby's well-being, do not hesitate to seek medical advice.
