With my last baby I never noticed losing my mucus plug before labour started. Some women lose it slowly over days so you may never see a big glob, and others lose it during labor along with their waters. Regular contractions and waters breaking are usually stronger signs that things are happening. Keep an eye on how often and how intense your contractions are and rest as much as you can. If they become strong and regular, or if you have any concerns, let your midwife or doctor know. Every labour is different and it’s completely normal not to see your plug beforehand.
