I'm currently 34 weeks pregnant and experiencing intense pain whenever my baby moves from left to right. What could be causing this discomfort and how can I find relief?

Oh mama, those end-of-pregnancy ninja rolls hurt! By 34 weeks our babes are running out of space, so when they do a big stretch from one side to the other it can really tug on the ligaments and press on nerves. I remember yelping when my daughter shoved her foot under my ribs and then rolled across – felt like a knife. What helped me was changing positions (leaning forward on hands and knees takes the pressure off for a second), wearing a support band for my belly, and doing gentle stretches/hip circles. A warm bath or hot water bottle on the sore area can relax the muscles too. As long as baby is moving and there's no bleeding or fever, it’s usually just a sign that you’re in the home stretch. But don’t hesitate to ring your midwife if something feels off or you just need reassurance!
