I have just crossed 28 days since my last period and it hasn't happened yet. Can I still conceive a second baby?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

Yes, it is possible to conceive a second baby even if your period is late after 28 days. While a regular menstrual cycle is typically around 28 days, it can vary from person to person. It's important to note that ovulation can occur at different times in the menstrual cycle, so even if your period is delayed, there may still be an opportunity for conception. If you are actively trying to conceive and your period is late, it's recommended to take a pregnancy test to determine if you are pregnant. If you're not pregnant and your period continues to be irregular or absent, it may be worth consulting with a healthcare professional to explore potential underlying causes.

Cycles don't always stick to the textbook 28 days, especially after having your first. Mine jumped around between 26–33 days for a while and I still went on to get pregnant again. Stress, breastfeeding or even travelling can delay a period. If you want to conceive, just keep having regular intimacy every couple of days and maybe use ovulation tests to see when you ovulate. A late period by a day or two doesn't mean you can't get pregnant – it just means your body is doing its own thing. If you think you might already be pregnant because your period hasn't shown up, wait a few days and take a test. Good luck, mama!
