Is there any way to increase amniotic fluid levels at 37 weeks to wait for natural labor instead of induction as recommended by the doctor?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

It is important to maintain adequate amniotic fluid levels during pregnancy, as low levels can indicate potential complications. If your doctor has recommended induction due to a low AFI (Amniotic Fluid Index) at 37 weeks, it is crucial to follow their advice. However, if you would prefer to wait for natural labor, there are a few things you can try to potentially increase your AFI. First, make sure you are well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day. Additionally, increasing your intake of fruits and vegetables that have high water content may help boost amniotic fluid levels. Some examples include watermelon, cucumber, and celery. It is also important to avoid activities that may lead to further depletion of amniotic fluid, such as excessive physical exertion or prolonged exposure to heat. However, it is essential to consult with your healthcare provider before attempting any methods or making decisions regarding your pregnancy. They will be able to provide personalized guidance based on your specific situation and medical history. Remember that the health and safety of both you and your baby should always be the top priority in making decisions about childbirth.

Hey mama, I had this scare w my first, at 37w they said fluids were low and wanted to induce asap. I upped my water big time, drank coconut water and munched on juicy fruits like cucumbers and watermelon. I also rested on my left side and avoided being out in the sun. When they rechecked a few days later my levels had crept up and I was able to go into labour on my own a week later. Everyone's body reacts differently so chat with ur midwife, but sometimes a bit more hydration and rest can really help. Try not to stress too much :)
