    I feel ya, those itchy yeasty infections are such a nuisance when you're pregnant. At 25 weeks your hormones are all over the place and the discharge is thicker, so it's a perfect breeding ground unfortunately.


    What helped me was keeping the area as dry and airy as possible — cotton undies, skirts instead of tight pants and no synthetic liners. I cut back on sugary snacks and breads because yeast loves sugar, and ate lots of live yoghurt and probiotics. Some midwives recommend using plain natural yoghurt internally or a warm salt bath to ease the burning, but I just stuck to a gentle rinse with water and tea tree oil soap.


    If it's really bothering you you can get an over the counter clotrimazole pessary (Canesten/Monistat) that is considered safe in pregnancy – my GP said the 6 or 7 day treatment is gentler than the one day. Avoid oral antifungals and always double check with your care provider though. It usually clears up within a few days, and it doesn't harm the baby at all.
