I am currently in my 7th month of pregnancy and I am feeling very little movement from my baby. What should I do in this situation?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

Feeling reduced or less frequent movements from your baby during the 7th month of pregnancy can be concerning, but it is important to stay calm and take appropriate action. Here are some steps you can take:

  • Change positions: Sometimes, the position you are in may make it harder to feel your baby's movements. Try lying on your left side or changing positions to see if that helps.

  • Pay attention to patterns: Start monitoring your baby's movements by keeping track of when they are most active throughout the day. This will help you identify any changes or abnormalities.

  • Stay hydrated and eat well: Ensuring that you are properly nourished and hydrated can contribute to better fetal movement. Drink plenty of water and eat a balanced diet rich in nutrients.

  • Do kick counts: Set aside some time each day to count your baby's kicks. Lie down on your left side after a meal and count how long it takes for you to feel ten distinct movements. If it takes longer than usual, contact your healthcare provider.

  • Contact your healthcare provider: If you continue to experience reduced fetal movement despite trying these measures, it is important to reach out to your healthcare provider immediately for further evaluation.

Remember, every pregnancy is different, and there may be variations in fetal movement patterns between individuals. However, if you have any concerns about decreased fetal movement, always consult with a medical professional for guidance and reassurance.
