I am currently in my 11th week and 4th day of pregnancy, but the gestational age is showing as only 11 weeks and 0 days. Is this normal? What should I do in this situation?

It is not uncommon for there to be a slight discrepancy between your actual pregnancy duration and the gestational age measured by ultrasound. In most cases, this difference is within an acceptable range. However, it's always best to consult with your healthcare provider to ensure everything is progressing normally.

There are a few reasons why the gestational age may not match up exactly with your expected duration. One possibility is that there was a miscalculation during the initial dating scan or that your ovulation occurred later than expected. Another reason could be individual variations in fetal growth rates.

If you are concerned about the discrepancy, reach out to your doctor or midwife for further evaluation. They may recommend additional ultrasounds or tests to monitor the development of your baby more closely.

It's important to remember that every pregnancy is unique, and small variations in gestational age are usually nothing to worry about. As long as there are no other concerning symptoms or complications, continue following your healthcare provider's guidance for prenatal care and enjoy this special time in your life.
