What are the common symptoms that indicate a possible miscarriage?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

Miscarriage refers to the loss of a pregnancy before 20 weeks. While it can be a distressing experience, knowing the signs can help you seek medical attention promptly. The most common symptoms of miscarriage include vaginal bleeding, abdominal pain or cramping, and passing tissue or clots from the vagina. Other signs may include back pain, sudden decrease in pregnancy symptoms, and fluid leakage from the vagina. However, it is important to note that these symptoms can also occur in normal pregnancies, so it is crucial to consult with your healthcare provider for an accurate diagnosis. If you experience any of these signs or have concerns about your pregnancy, reach out to your doctor immediately for guidance and support.

TMI...... I had cramping pain it started at night, the next morning it was unbearable, it felt like I had to go to the bathroom. When I went liquid came squirting out without peeing and passed my mucous plug. Then I started passing blood and clots, I would cramp and pass more. This went on for over an hour filling up the toilet with each one. The bleeding got less over time. It lasted a week. I didn't pass it all and got infected. 10 days after the miscarriage I was hospitalized and had a D&C. After trying to get one and going to the ER 3 times. Hope this helps!

I miscarried at 8 weeks. It wasn't sore like people had said it would be. I had light spotting several times in the 2 weeks prior that I did announce to the midwives. Apparently it depends on your genes and how far along you are that determines how painful miscarriages can be physically. Emotionally they are all painful.

The day I miscarried I was in bed and I felt a sudden need for the toilet, I moved slightly upwards and I felt the "gush of death" (look it up). It went all down my leg, rushed to the toilet and got cleaned up. I had read about the gush of death way before I got pregnant, so I knew my baby was gone but well meaning people will tell you to "have faith", "you said it wasn't painful so it can't have been a miscarriage, some bleeding is normal" all that crap. I told my husband and we had a really long cry together, but still people kept insisting I was still pregnant.

I took a pregnancy test 2 weeks later as advised by midwives, still positive. A further 2 weeks later, I needed a blood test to prove the pregnancy hormone was going. It was going but very slowly and another 2 weeks later I took an at home test and it still showed slightly pregnant. By then everyone accepted that I wasn't pregnant but the fact that the pregnancy hormone can be in your system that long takes you on such an emotional rollercoaster.

I think my miscarriage was worse than it should have been. I lost a baby and that's awful and we were both miserable for months! But well meaning people ... Inadvertently hurt you by saying stupid things like "all miscarriages hurt, so it wasn't a miscarriage" ... And they really believe it too, speak down to you like you know nothing ... When this one person in particular accepted it was a miscarriage they said "in my day all miscarriages hurt, so they must have changed" and this person is only 70 this year.

P.S I forgot this. Just like the other answer here, I had bleeding (lots of disgusting brown gunge, permanently in sanitary towels) for about 20 days after the miscarriage... Yeah, people still thought I was pregnant with that!! I was only 8 weeks along and that was a lot of blood for that little time. I have so much sympathy and feeling for anyone who has a miscarriage, but to miscarry so far along, the blood must be sooooo much! And yes the physical pain must be very bad as the baby is bigger.
