Hi, I am currently 20 weeks pregnant and my doctor has recommended taking Ecosprin 150 tablet for a month as a preventive measure against high blood pressure in the future. I want to know if it is safe for me to take Ecosprin 150 during pregnancy?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

Taking Ecosprin 150 during pregnancy for preventing high blood pressure is a common practice. It contains low-dose aspirin which helps improve blood flow and reduce the risk of preeclampsia. However, it is important to consult with your healthcare provider before starting any medication during pregnancy. They will assess your specific situation and determine if Ecosprin 150 is suitable for you. They will consider factors such as your medical history, current health condition, and potential risks or side effects associated with the medication. Your doctor will guide you on the appropriate dosage and duration of treatment based on your individual needs. It's crucial to follow their advice and attend regular check-ups throughout your pregnancy.

Yes, perfectly safe. With 2/3 of my pregnancies I've been on these from 12 weeks till birth. Just make sure that they keep a vlose watch on your blood pressure and let them know if you experience any light headedness, sickness or swollen feet/hands/face as these can be sings of pre-eclampsia and it would be missed if they are already preventing high blood pressure

Your doctor wouldn't have prescribed it if it wasn't safe.
