I am 10 weeks pregnant and experiencing pelvic pain. I was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection (UTI) and given antibiotics, but the pain persists. I am worried because it is causing significant discomfort. What should I do?

If you are 10 weeks pregnant and experiencing persistent pelvic pain despite being diagnosed with a urinary tract infection (UTI) and taking antibiotics, it is important to seek further medical advice. While UTIs can cause pelvic pain, there may be other underlying causes contributing to your discomfort. It is possible that the initial diagnosis was incorrect or that the infection has not fully cleared up. Additionally, pregnancy-related changes in your body can also contribute to pelvic pain. To address your concerns and find relief from the pain, schedule an appointment with your healthcare provider as soon as possible. They will be able to evaluate your symptoms, perform any necessary tests or examinations, and provide appropriate treatment options tailored to your specific situation. Remember, it is always better to err on the side of caution when it comes to your health during pregnancy.
