asked Oct 26, 2021 in Baby Health During Pregnancy by Angel P.
I am currently 6 weeks pregnant and experiencing pain in my lower abdomen. I don't have any other symptoms like morning sickness or nausea. Is this normal or should I be concerned?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

It is not uncommon to experience lower abdominal pains during early pregnancy, especially around the 6-week mark. These pains are often caused by the stretching and growth of the uterus as it accommodates the developing fetus. As long as the pain is mild and not accompanied by severe cramping, bleeding, or other concerning symptoms, it is usually considered normal. However, if you are experiencing intense or persistent pain, or if you have any concerns about your pregnancy, it is always best to consult with your healthcare provider for a proper evaluation and reassurance. They can provide personalized advice based on your specific situation and help ensure a healthy pregnancy journey for you and your baby.
