Do unborn babies experience hiccups in the third trimester of pregnancy, and is it considered a normal occurrence?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

Yes, it is common for unborn babies to have hiccups during the third trimester of pregnancy. Hiccups occur when the baby's diaphragm contracts involuntarily. This can be felt as rhythmic movements or flutters in the mother's belly. Hiccups are a normal part of fetal development and are not usually a cause for concern. They may occur more frequently after meals or when the baby is active. If you notice excessive or prolonged hiccups, it is always best to consult with your healthcare provider for reassurance and guidance.

Yes, it's incredibly normal. I'm only 16 weeks currently but have had four babies previously. I was told by my midwife that it is natural and helps strengthen the diaphragm of the baby :)

My son is 10 months old and I am 7 weeks pregnant again.  With my son the whole 3rd trimester was full of hiccups,  at least 3-4xs per day! I was concerned something was wrong,  so i told my OB and everything was fine.  He was even having hiccups during labor! Lol. Enjoy being able to feel your baby move! When he or she starts walking,  you'll miss those cute,  little hiccups throughout your pregnancy!
