My pregnancy is in its 7th week and the ultrasound only shows a thickened endometrium without a visible sac. In my previous pregnancy, I had a miscarriage at 5 months. I am feeling very scared. Can you please provide me with some guidance and support?

It can be concerning to see a thickened endometrium without a visible sac during an ultrasound at 7 weeks of pregnancy, especially if you have experienced a previous miscarriage. However, it's important to remember that every pregnancy is different and there could be various reasons for this finding.

One possibility is that the gestational age may not be accurately determined, as it can sometimes be challenging to detect the sac in early stages of pregnancy. It's recommended to repeat the ultrasound after a week or two to get more accurate results.

Another possibility is an ectopic pregnancy, where the fertilized egg implants outside of the uterus. This can cause similar symptoms and difficulties in detecting the sac during an ultrasound. If you experience severe pain or any other concerning symptoms, it's crucial to seek immediate medical attention.

It's also worth considering other factors such as hormonal imbalances or uterine abnormalities that may contribute to this situation. Consulting with your healthcare provider will help determine the best course of action based on your specific circumstances.

While waiting for further evaluation, try to stay calm and take care of yourself both physically and emotionally. Surround yourself with supportive loved ones who can provide comfort during this uncertain time.

Remember, only your healthcare provider can provide accurate advice based on your individual situation. Don't hesitate to reach out for professional guidance and support throughout your journey towards a healthy pregnancy.
