I already have a son and really hope to have a daughter this time. When does morning sickness typically begin and how long does it usually last?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

Morning sickness, characterized by nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, is a common symptom experienced by many expectant mothers. While it is often believed that the absence of morning sickness indicates the gender of the baby, there is no scientific evidence to support this claim.

Morning sickness can start as early as 4-6 weeks into pregnancy and usually subsides by the end of the first trimester, around week 12-

  • However, every woman's experience with morning sickness can vary greatly. Some may not experience any symptoms at all, while others may have severe nausea throughout their entire pregnancy.

It's important to remember that morning sickness is influenced by various factors such as hormonal changes, individual body chemistry, and genetic predisposition. The presence or absence of morning sickness does not determine the gender of your baby.

If you are hoping for a specific gender, there are other methods available for determining the sex of your baby such as ultrasound or genetic testing. It's best to consult with your healthcare provider for accurate information and guidance regarding these methods.

Ultimately, whether you have morning sickness or not does not guarantee the gender of your baby. It's essential to focus on maintaining a healthy lifestyle during pregnancy and enjoying this special journey regardless of what symptoms you may or may not experience.

I had hyperemisis of pregnancy with both of my boys. I barely could eat in the first months it was so bad. They would end up taking me to the ER so I could get hydrated again because of how little I could keep down. 2 healthy baby boys though. Lol

I would say this is not true too. I did not have morning sickness for my two boys either. I am currently pregnant with a girl and had no morning sickness for her. I was convinced it was a boy because this pregnancy is just like when I was pregnant for my boys. But I am having a girl. You never know! Fingers crossed for you!
