I am currently 9 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing discharge with a strong, unpleasant odor since my 6th week. Despite the scan showing that the baby is fine, the odor continues to worsen every day. Is this normal during pregnancy?

It is not uncommon for pregnant women to experience changes in vaginal discharge during pregnancy. However, if you are noticing a strong and unpleasant odor accompanying the discharge, it may be a sign of an infection such as bacterial vaginosis or a yeast infection. It is important to consult your healthcare provider for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. They may recommend a pelvic exam or additional tests to determine the cause of the odor and provide suitable treatment options that are safe for you and your baby. In the meantime, practicing good hygiene by wearing breathable cotton underwear, avoiding douching or using scented products in the genital area, and maintaining regular showers can help manage symptoms. Remember to always reach out to your healthcare provider with any concerns or unusual symptoms during pregnancy for proper guidance and care.

I would recommend talking to your doctor.ot sounds like you could have a yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis, or something. Have them test the discharge, they should be able to give you more information.
