Is it safe for me to fast during the holy month of Ramzan if I am currently 16 weeks pregnant? Are there any precautions or considerations I should keep in mind?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

It is important to prioritize your health and the well-being of your baby during pregnancy. While fasting during Ramzan is a personal and religious decision, it is crucial to consult with your healthcare provider before making any decisions. They will be able to assess your specific situation and provide guidance based on your individual health needs. In some cases, fasting may not be recommended due to potential risks such as dehydration, low blood sugar levels, or inadequate nutrition intake. Your healthcare provider may suggest alternative ways for you to observe the spiritual aspects of Ramzan without compromising your health or the health of your baby. Remember, every pregnancy is unique, so it's essential to seek personalized advice from a medical professional who can consider all relevant factors before making a decision about fasting during pregnancy.

You shouldn't be Actually fasting when you Pregnant.  There's only certain hours which you can stay without food and it's no Longer Then 5 hours.  Even if you breastfeed you not allowed To Fast it's not something you'll get punished for . I'm 16 weeks and I'm not Fasting Staying without Food Is unhealthy for your unborn

I, myself am not Muslim, but I have had 3 Muslim Dads (my mother is on her 4th Marriage) and when I was pregnant and trying to be kind and observe the customs #4 told me that pregnant women are not expected to partake in the fasting because she and the baby need the strength. Then again, I've only known Muslims who came from Albania, Bosnia, Turkey, and (now) Jordan.

Perhaps it is different for each country and how they observe it? I guess it would be important to ask your parents or Imam if you're able to.

You can make it up after baby is born and if you choose to breastfeed still can make it up. Allaah knows best don't think it's compulsory for pregnant) breastfeeding mothers.

I personally wouldn't fast especially with it being a long fast. I'd prefer to make it up later. If it was winter and I felt ok then I would fast.
