Hi, I'm 29 weeks pregnant and experiencing severe thigh pain similar to sciatica. Walking and getting up are difficult. Any suggestions for relief? Share your experiences managing this pain. Thanks!
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

Sciatic pain during pregnancy is a common issue caused by pressure on the sciatic nerve due to the growing uterus. To relieve this pain, try gentle exercises like prenatal yoga or swimming, which can help stretch and strengthen the muscles supporting the spine. Applying heat or cold packs to the affected area can also provide temporary relief. Additionally, maintaining good posture, using a pregnancy support belt, and avoiding activities that worsen the pain can be helpful. If the pain persists or becomes unbearable, consult your healthcare provider for further guidance and potential treatment options. Remember that every pregnancy is unique, so it's important to listen to your body and find what works best for you.

I have been experiencing it since 20 weeks on and off.  I am 25 weeks now and it's subsided considerably.

Take warm baths and try gently massage your leg.

My Gynae advised me it's okay to take panado if the pain gets really unbearable. I hope this helps you.
