As a long-term smoker, I have been advised that smoking is harmful to the baby. If I reduce my smoking to just one cigarette per day, will it still have an impact on my baby's development?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

Smoking even just one cigarette a day during pregnancy can have negative effects on your baby's development. The chemicals in cigarettes, such as nicotine and carbon monoxide, can restrict oxygen and nutrient supply to the fetus, leading to potential growth problems and increased risk of preterm birth. It can also increase the chances of complications like low birth weight and developmental issues. Quitting smoking altogether is the best option for both you and your baby's health. If you are struggling to quit, seek support from healthcare professionals who can provide guidance and resources tailored to your needs.

I've had 5 pregnancies and 6 kids(yes I was blessed with twins) I am currently Pregnant with my 7th blessing and I am a smoker. I am trying to cut back on my smoking for the health of my baby. Although I smoked with my other babies and they all were full term and healthy as can be.  All my single births weighed 8+ pounds and even my twins were huge boy=7 and girl=6.15... all my deliveries were perfect and on time... I did have scheduled csection that's because of my cervix not opening... so with my experience smoking has not harmed my babies... this pregnancy I'm trying to cut back or hopefully quit because I know it's the right thing to do...

But I also know that not only every woman is different pregnant but EVErY SInGLE pregnancy is different... and it's better to be safe than sorry... because I our babies deserve nothing but the best
