I am currently 17 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing pain whenever I try to sleep on my right side. Is there anything I can do to alleviate this discomfort?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

During the second trimester of pregnancy, it is generally recommended to sleep on your left side as it improves blood flow to the baby and helps with digestion. However, if you are unable to sleep comfortably on your right side due to pain, there are a few things you can try. Firstly, consider using pillows for support - place one between your legs and another behind your back for added comfort. Additionally, experimenting with different sleeping positions such as propping yourself up slightly with extra pillows or trying a reclining chair may help relieve the discomfort. If the pain persists or worsens, it is important to consult with your healthcare provider who can provide further guidance and ensure that everything is progressing normally in your pregnancy.

Sleep on the side you feel comfortable with ,when I was as far as you are I felt uncomfortable as well sleeping on my right side ,now that iam 23 weeks I feel more comfortable on my right rather left.

Usually sleeping on right side means your baby weight is dropped on your stomach and other organs which decreases blood flow and the push on your stomach could cause heart burn

They recommend not sleeping on your right as that's where your LIVER is and that could be pain and damage can be caused....congratulations mumma x Keep Going
