asked Jan 2, 2021 in Pregnancy Period General by anonymous
I am currently 5 weeks and 5 days pregnant, but my blood hCG level is only 6.6. Should I be concerned about this result? My last period was on November 23rd, 2020.

It is important to note that hCG levels can vary greatly between individuals and may not always accurately reflect the stage of pregnancy. At around 5 weeks and 5 days of pregnancy, the average hCG level ranges from 18-7,340 mIU/mL. However, it is also possible for some women to have lower levels within this range without any complications.

A single hCG measurement cannot provide a definitive answer about the viability of a pregnancy. It is more informative to monitor the trend in hCG levels over time through multiple tests.

If you are concerned about your low hCG level, it is recommended to consult with your healthcare provider who can evaluate your specific situation. They may suggest additional tests or ultrasounds to assess the progress of your pregnancy.

Remember that every woman's body and pregnancy journey are unique, so try not to compare your results with others'. Stay in close communication with your healthcare provider for personalized guidance and support throughout your pregnancy.

It's only 6.6 what does 6.6. mean. That must be a very high one then. Mine has been doubling in the 20,000 and more every day two days ago it was 15,000 something you might be having multiples, you said it's 6.6, that Is doubling fast, congratulations.
