Is it normal to not detect a fetal heartbeat at 10 weeks of pregnancy? My doctor has advised me to wait for 10 days before taking any further action. Is this a common recommendation in such cases?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

It is not uncommon for a fetal heartbeat to be undetectable at 10 weeks of pregnancy, especially during early stages. However, it is important to follow your doctor's advice and wait for the recommended period before taking any further action. This waiting period allows for potential changes and development in the fetus. In some cases, the heartbeat may become detectable after this time frame. If there are still no signs of a heartbeat after the waiting period, your doctor will discuss other options and provide appropriate guidance based on your specific situation. Remember to communicate openly with your healthcare provider and seek support from loved ones during this time.

I had no heartbeat at 11 weeks and in two days i will be 12 weeks and they are gonna try and hear it again with the dobbler. My doc said it was very normal and that the baby is so small it is hard to find it. But i had an ultrasound at 8 weeks and you could see heartbeat healthy on screen. So im not too worried will post friday with update

With my daughter I was 14weeks before her heartbeat was heard with the Doppler. Sometimes the positioning just isn't right.
