Excessive Appetite in the 1st Trimester of Pregnancy: Is it Normal?

I am currently 8 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing intense cravings and excessive appetite for the past week. I even feel shaky at times. Is this a normal symptom during the first trimester of pregnancy?
