asked May 4, 2018 in Pregnancy Period General by MrsGrnbutterfly
We just found out that we're pregnant with our first child, so of course we have no idea what to expect! I'm about 5 weeks along, and I haven't had any morning sickness yet. When, if at all, does morning sickness tend to start during pregnancy? I want to be prepared. Thanks!

Morning sickness is a common symptom experienced by many pregnant women. While the exact timing can vary from person to person, it typically starts around 6 weeks into the pregnancy and peaks around the 9th or 10th week. However, some women may experience it earlier or later in their pregnancy journey. It's important to note that not all pregnant women will experience morning sickness, so don't worry if you haven't had any symptoms yet. If you do experience morning sickness, there are several remedies and lifestyle changes that can help alleviate the symptoms. These include eating small, frequent meals; avoiding triggers like strong smells or certain foods; staying hydrated; getting plenty of rest; and trying natural remedies such as ginger or acupressure wristbands. If your morning sickness becomes severe and affects your ability to eat or drink, it's important to consult with your healthcare provider for further guidance and support. Remember, every pregnancy is unique, so try not to compare yourself too much with others' experiences. Focus on taking care of yourself and enjoying this special time in your life!

With both of my pregnancies (I am currently pregnant), the first sign that I was pregnant was nausea and vomiting. I started feeling sick at about 4 weeks both times. In fact, it was only after getting sick that we realized that I was pregnant.

I am 27 Weeks and i didnt get morning sickness until around 6-7 weeks and only would vomit once in the morning and that was it. I realized it was because during the night i went so long without eating so I'd keep crackers next to the bed and ate a couple before I got out of bed and the sickness for the most part went away. If I cough unexpectedly though still to this day I will usually vomit.
