Hey mama! It's totally possible to deliver and not need stitches, but it's one of those things you can't 100% control. With my first I tore a little and had a few stitches, with my second the baby kind of eased his way out and I didn't need any. Some midwives recommend perineal massage or warm compresses during pushing, and taking it slow when the head crowns. Baby's size, your body, and even how you're positioned all make a difference. Even if you do need a few stitches, it's usually just a couple and they heal quickly. So I wouldn't stress too much, just go with the flow and listen to your body
