Hey mama, I was in the same boat. My midwife put me on a low‑dose aspirin (Ascard) during my first trimester because I had high blood pressure and a bit of a history with clotting. She explained it’s just a tiny dose that helps keep blood flowing to the placenta and reduces the chance of pre‑eclampsia. A good friend of mine took it too after a previous miscarriage and went on to have a healthy little girl. It’s not a general vitamin, it’s more of a specific preventative thing, so if your doc recommended it there’s usually a reason. If you’re unsure, just ask them to explain why they’re suggesting it and how long you need to take it. For me it was until around 36 weeks. Totally understand being cautious – but low‑dose aspirin is often used safely in pregnancy.
