I totally get why you’re worried – having to repeat scans feels scary when you’re already anxious. With my second baby they couldn’t get a clear view of her heart at the anatomy scan because she was curled up, so I went back two weeks later and everything was fine. A friend of mine had a similar story around 28 weeks. Hearts are still growing and sometimes they just need a better angle or a more detailed look. The fact that your baby’s growth is on track is a good sign. Usually these extra appointments are just the doctors being thorough. It’s okay to ask them what they’re looking at and why, but try not to panic most of us end up with healthy babies after these follow‑up scans.
