I am experiencing implementation bleeding at 39 days, but my home pregnancy test is negative. Could there be another reason for the bleeding? How long should I wait before retesting?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

Implementation bleeding refers to light spotting or bleeding that occurs when a fertilized egg attaches itself to the uterine lining. It can sometimes be mistaken for a regular period, but it typically occurs around 6-12 days after conception. However, if you are experiencing implementation bleeding at 39 days and your home pregnancy test is negative, it is possible that the bleeding may have another cause. Other potential reasons for this type of bleeding include hormonal imbalances, stress, changes in birth control methods, or underlying medical conditions. If you are concerned about the possibility of pregnancy, it is recommended to wait a few more days and retest with a home pregnancy test. In some cases, it may take longer for the hormone levels to rise enough to be detected by a test. If your symptoms persist or worsen, it is advisable to consult with a healthcare professional for further evaluation and guidance.

Honestly 39 days is kinda late for implantation. When I had a bit of spotting around that time my hpt was still negative and then my period showed up a few days later. Hormones and stress can make your cycle act weird. I'd give it a week and test again if AF doesn't arrive. But try not to read too much into every spot or cramp, our bodies do strange things sometimes :)
