asked Feb 2, 2019 in Pregnancy Period General by anonymous
I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks before, with a lot of cramping. This time, I'm not experiencing any cramping. Is it normal to measure 5 weeks on ultrasound when I should be 7 weeks based on my last menstrual period? I'm worried about another miscarriage happening again.

Are you bleeding? They way my doctor explained to me is it takes 2 weeks to conceive, and then another 2 weeks at least to show up. You probably didn't get pregnant until 2 weeks later than you lmp. Also, sometimes miscarriages can throw the cycle off as well. You said you lost the baby before, and I believe you know your body better than anyone. If you feel something isn't right, got to your OB. I believe as long as there is no heavy blood flow along with heavy painful cramping, you are probably ok. Not a doctor, but I am having my second child.

You may just not Have a high enough HCG to show baby yet. I know it is extremely stressful. It's very early for them to try to date your pregnancy. If there is no cramping and no bleeding then try not to worry.

Always go by first day of last period Ultrasounds can be wrong as many women found out after baby is born

I had mri with my first child and it was 4 weeks out As a result, my daughter was over 5 weeks premature and she spent 3 weeks of her life in neonatal

Having my 2nd child now with no scans of any type We learned
