I am currently 16 weeks pregnant, can I still register for antenatal care now or is it too late?

It is never too late to register for antenatal care, even if you are already 16 weeks pregnant. Antenatal care is important for the health and well-being of both you and your baby. By registering for antenatal care, you will have access to regular check-ups, screenings, and guidance from healthcare professionals throughout your pregnancy. They will monitor your baby's growth and development, provide necessary vaccinations, offer advice on nutrition and exercise, and address any concerns or complications that may arise. It is recommended to seek antenatal care as early as possible in your pregnancy, but starting at 16 weeks is still beneficial. Contact your healthcare provider or local clinic to schedule an appointment and begin receiving the necessary care during this crucial time. Remember that every pregnancy is unique, so it's important to consult with a healthcare professional who can provide personalized guidance based on your specific needs and circumstances.

Hi lovely! 16 weeks is definitely not too late. With my first I didn't get registered until around 20 weeks and it was no problem. Many midwives start their antenatal classes around the third trimester. Just ring your doctor or local clinic now and they'll add you to the schedule and make sure all your scans are booked. Plenty of mums sign up later and everything goes just fine. You're doing great ❤️
