Is it safe for a 6-week-old baby to drink water? What are the guidelines and recommendations regarding water intake for infants at this age?

Water should be given only when he turns 6 months old along with his solid food. Before 6 months, exclusive breast or formula feed only.

No, you can not give your baby water. Your baby gets enough fluid from your breastmilk or formula. Only from six months you can give your baby a little bit of water, in a bottle. Never leave your baby unattended while drinking.
