Is it safe and appropriate to introduce a pacifier to my 3-week-old baby? I have heard mixed opinions about using pacifiers at such a young age, and I want to make sure I am making the best decision for my baby's well-being. Can you provide some guidance on when and how to introduce a pacifier, as well as any potential risks or benefits associated with its use at this early stage of development?

I recommend to wait for some more time... Let the baby get comfortable with Breast feeding. Once baby is fully used to BF then give pacifier so that there is no nipple confusion. Also pls ensure the baby is fully fed before giving pacifier.

My girl started from 3 days old because we found she was comfort feeding all night so tried that and has worked wonders for her ever since. She doesn't always rely on it either to go to sleep now and she's 12 weeks old.

I gave my son a pacifier a few hours after he was born.

Why wouldn't it be okay? I also gave my newborn pacifier and we had no issues with 'hangin on a boob', she also slept better in her cot. I think what's important is to get a pacifier from natural latex and that is orthodontist aproved.
