My 1 month old is frequently straining to pass stool, experiencing discomfort, and crying during the process. However, her tummy is not hard and her stool is not hard either. Is this normal for a baby of this age? What steps can I take to alleviate her discomfort?

Mine is 3weeks and started doing the same at week 2. I went to four docs and was told it's colic. Been a struggle and they cry in pain.

Been doing bicycle exercise on them. Started giving my LO biogaia awaiting results. She has been struggling but passes loose stool once a day. I have been massaging the tummy in clockwise position to release the gas in their tummy or at least help a little.

Then the only best thing we can do is place them in their comfortable position to sleep.
