What can I do to alleviate gas and sleep issues in my 9-day-old baby?

Babies usually get a lot of gas from breastfeeding. During that time for me, what I practice doing was drinking hot tea before I breastfeed, ensuring I eat on time, and now and then giving my son gripe water. The above helped a lot.

That helps too she can also after feeding the baby hold the baby to shoulders to ensure they burp or massage baby stomach area and they'll pass the trapped air

Give gripe water from 4th month. Gas is a common thing seen in early stage.

Experienced the same with my little one, this is colic....make sure when you are breastfeeding the nipple and areola is deep and covering the mouth to avoid gas/air entering during feeding...also during feeds let the tummy be slightly high than the rest of the body ....you can ask your doctor to prescribe bonnisan and calpol this really helps within 5days max...it only gets better hang in there!!!
