My 2-month-old baby hasn't had a bowel movement in 5 days. She doesn't have colic, but she passes a lot of gas. This has been happening since the first week after birth. The doctor advised me to use glycerin every 3 days to help her poop, but another doctor told me not to. Are there any other solutions?

She cant do this as the formula is specifically made per ml and per scoops she cant change that then baby wont get the nutrients he/she needs if baby is formula fed she must change the formula if the problem goes on longer and if baby is breastfeeding it can be normal as there are a saying with breastfeeding moms "1 dirty diaper in 19 days or 10 dirty diapers in 1 day is normal

Yes, I agree with Lalla. Do not change the scoop measurements. There's a reason why the measurements have been set like that. Talk to ur ped about changing the formula if the situation is too serious. Try bicycle kicks, warm baths, tummy time.

It's in the way the formula is mixed  if you are using formula  like I did while waiting to lactate properly at the hospital recovering from a c section .

We are tempted to add more milk cause we think it equates more nutrients but it could make the baby constipated.  It's 15mils of water to a level scoop of formula milk .

Every formulq differe from this also as mu formula is 1 scoop for every 30ml and my sister in law uses another formula whick is 1 scoop for 25ml water
