My two-year-old daughter has never been to daycare and has limited interaction with other children her age. I want to ensure she is learning and developing appropriately. Currently, we engage in activities such as drawing, playing with sand, singing songs, reading books, and watching educational videos. However, I am curious about what other activities kids her age typically do at daycare or preschool. Are there any additional skills or concepts I should be teaching her?

mmr is right, life skills are as important as academic skills.

We also started a "word wall" around age 2 or 3 -- depending on the child's interest -- so they could start to recognize some sight words. We did simple things -- their name, "mommy," etc. -- and worked our way through the Dolch Word Lists
