in Newborn (0-3 month) by
My baby girl is 10 days old and she seems to be sleeping the majority of the day. She only wakes up briefly to breastfeed and then falls back asleep. Is this normal behavior for a newborn, or should I be concerned?

I was experiencing the same thing with my 1month old infant. I asked a pediatrician about it and her advise was to wake my baby every 2-3hours to feed because it's to help them with growth and not to wake up crabby on an empty stomach. This way your baby will be a happy baby and will not stress or tire you out.

Some babies sleep more, some babies sleep less. Every baby is different. As long as she is eating well and has 8-9 diapers changes during day, she is doing just fine. My baby boy is 1 month old and he just started sleeping more during night and less during day. We practised it and it worked.
