Is it normal for my 6-week-old baby to poop 5 times a day?

My 6-week-old baby weighs 3.11 kgs and has only gained 400 gms in the past 2 weeks. The doctor says he's underweight. He pees around 8 to 10 times a day and poops 5 times. Is this normal for his age?

For me its normal.. coz my baby when she 0-2 month old,she poops more than 5 times a day.. now she 3 months old,she just poops 1 to 2 times a day.. but her weight increase 1kg per month..try to consult with the doc..
