Why is my baby sleeping for long periods without crying?

My baby is sleeping for more than 3-4 hours at a time without crying. What could be the reason behind this unusual sleep pattern? Is it normal or should I be concerned?

Your very lucky a newborn can sleep uo to 16 to 18 hours a day.... Is she breastfed of formula?
